Outdoor Shooting
We are arguably one of the more fortunate clubs in the country in that we have access to the superb outdoor facility at Baldwins Gate, only 12 miles from the club. This facility boasts some 40 lanes for small-bore rifle and long arm pistol shooting in prone, standing, and kneeling positions, at distances of 25 yards, 50 metres and 100 yards, together with an indoor air rifle range, clubroom and toilets.
Outdoors at 100 yards
The range is set in 14 acres of woodland in a long disused quarry and offers unrivalled facilities. whether you want to shoot at club level or develop your skills to shoot at county or national level this range offers it all – or just bring the family along for a picnic in this sylvan setting!
10 lanes at 50 Metres and 10 at 100 yards
Using these ranges we shoot in competitions at 50 Metres and 100 yards, both postal leagues and open shoulder to shoulder, with excellent results. To the right is a five-shot group at 50 Metres, less than 10 mm diameter.
